How it works
Money transfers to Russia are sent via Contact money transfer system. The system is operated by QIWI Bank.
MoneySend is an accredited partner of QIWI Bank in Israel. You can send a transfer online on our website. After the payment is accepted, the sender receives a unique transfer control number in SMS. This number is needed to receive a transfer or to track its status.
How to send a money transfer to Russia
1. Tell us who're you sending to
We’ll ask you for some basic information about your recipient:
- Country
- First name
- Last name
- Payout option: cash or card (*)
- Phone
(*) If you choose “cash payout”, the receiver still can pay out the transfer to their card using Contact website or mobile app
2. Tell us how much money you want to send
Specify the currency and amount of money that will be paid to the recipient. Then press “Get total” button. We will calculate the amount in shekels using a real-time currency exchange quote, the fee, and the total amount of money to be charged. This exchange rate stays fixed after your complete your transaction to guarantee that your recipient will receive the exact amount promised. We have no hidden fees. Your credit card will be charged the exact amount of money that you see on the screen.
3. Tell us a little about yourself
We’ll ask you for some basic information about yourself:
- First name
- Last name
- Birthdate
- Teudat zehut number
- Phone number
Your phone number will be verified using a text message with the 4-digit verification code. In order to continue, you will need to enter this verification code.
4. Make sure everything looks good
We’ll show you a summary of your transfer. If everything looks good, click Next. You can also press Back and make any changes you need to.
5. Pay for your transfer online with a credit card
Fill in your credit card details:
- 16-digit card number
- Expiration date
- CVC code (3 digits on the back side)
- Teudat zehut number
Then press Pay.
We accept credit cards issued in Israel with 3D secure support. 3D Secure (3-domain secure), also known as Payer Authentication is a security protocol to prevent fraud in transactions with credit and debit cards online. Currently, this service is provided by Visa and MasterCard under the name Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode, respectively.
6. Get a transfer control number
After receiving your payment we will show you the details of your money transfer:
- Transfer control number
- Recipient details
- Sender details
- Amount to receive
A transfer control number will be also sent by text message to your phone. If you have provided us with recipient’s phone number, then the recipient will receive a text message with a control number as well. Otherwise you will need to send this number to the recipient by yourself.
How to receive money transfers in Russia
Direct card payout
If “card payout” option was chosen when sending, then the recipient card will be immediately credited. No additional actions required from the receiver.
