06 Jul PrivatBank has set a market exchange rate
Starting from July 6, PrivatBank, our partner in Urkaine, switched to the market exchange rate for non-cash transactions. New market exchange rate allows Ukrainians to receive more hryvnia funds from money transfers from abroad. This is great news for our clients who send money to Ukraine and for all Ukrainians who receive money transfers from family and friends abroad.
“For example, when an urgent transfer from relatives in the amount of 1000 USD is credited to a hryvnia card, at the current exchange rate, customers receive almost UAH 6,000 more on their cards than, for example, a week ago. You can receive a transfer to the card instantly, without wasting time searching for and visiting a bank branch,” said Maria Strashko, head of the PrivatBank money transfer department.
Please note that when sending transfers via MoneySend, the market exchange rate is applied when transfers are credited not only to PrivatBank cards, but also to all Ukrainian cards.
In addition, due to the market situation, regulatory documents, in order to maintain market integrity and interests of the customers, the bank has set a single exchange rate for converting transfers in foreign currency for both transfers to cards and cash payments.
